No. In “guided” mode the tutor explains everything in your native language and brings the target language in gradually — around 20% at the start, half by the end of the session. You are never left without a safety net.
How are my mistakes corrected?+
Everything you say is transcribed, then analysed separately: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and phrasing. The tutor keeps talking to you normally — the coach’s notes are gathered at the end of the session so you can review them one by one.
What if I have no mic, or it is blocked?+
You can type. On a phone, transcription goes through our servers rather than the browser, which clears the usual blocks on iPhone.
Does the tutor remember from one session to the next?+
Yes. Your hobbies, your job, your city, your tastes — and also your difficulties, the sounds that resist, the vocabulary already covered. It talks to you like a friend, not like a list of errors.
Can it show pictures, talk weather or news?+
Yes. Say “show me an elephant” and a thumbnail appears under the bubble — useful for beginners and children. It can also talk about the weather where you are and the day’s news, without inventing headlines.
Can it follow a real meeting, not just a lesson?+
Yes. Meeting mode listens to the chosen language, shows you the transcript and reads it to you in your own language, live. You write what you want to ask and the assistant phrases the question for you. At the end, the summary goes out by email.
Why Ewe?+
Because almost no tool offers it. No browser has a voice or speech recognition for Ewe, so the lesson happens in writing, with its spelling and its tones respected, rather than read by a foreign voice that would make it unrecognisable.
